As threatened promised, this records my first minor upgrades to my new vehicle. In the course of changing a bulb in one of the front headlights we – that is myself and my Dad, my chief adviser in all things Land Rover – discovered that at least one of mountings was rusted somewhat. This is not an unexpected occurrence in a Defender of this age. Anyway, we thought it could do with replacing. As for details, the part used was this and for a beginner in this stuff – like me – the “how to” videos by the vendor (here, here and here) were very useful. Turns out we must have done it right as the friendly guy at my local F1 Autocentres confirmed the headlight’s correct alignment.
