In most ways this is an improvement on the old Airfix kit. Thus, the apparent inaccuracies on the older kit have been corrected. The brass grenade screen is very nice. It’s downfall is the tracks – they are quite horrible and certainly no better than the Airfix ones. I reckon that the tracks on the recent Airfix Cromwell – moulded in plastic – are a good example to follow for this scale. Surely, they could be moulded in multiple parts – much like this, albeit very different, model. One of the headlights was launched into space from the tweezers, never to be seen again – so that will have to go down as operational damage.
