Nice to see that a decent vehicle is getting an upgrade. It makes a change from some of the other vehicles in the British Army that seem to get a lot of attention – the peculiar Warthog or the downright dangerous looking Jackal. Now, where does this Scout SV vehicle mentioned here fit in?

Looks like Scout SV is meant to replace the lightweight vehicles beloved by the British Army’s posh cavalry regiments. Its mission is Intelligence, Surveillance, Target Acquisition (ISTAR). Great for rushing around the battlefield, hopefully avoiding the opposition’s MBTs. It even seems to offer a stealth option, by sitting quietly, powered by its auxiliary power unit only. Good luck to all who sail in it! I’d rather have a Challenger 2…
