The gun

“The L118 light gun is a 105 mm towed howitzer. It was originally designed and produced in the United Kingdom for the British Army in the 1970s. It has since been widely exported.” [1]
The kit

Airfix 1/76 (“OO” gauge) kit [2]. There were two guns in this kit, so I decided to build one in firing configuration and one in towed configuration, the latter to be used in conjunction with another kit.
Assembly
Obviously, this was a small and simple kit. I wanted to place it on a base, as with other – soon to be published – projects. For this, I made use of my new scroll saw to create simple wooden pieces.
Painting
Painted using AK Interactive Real Colours, which I seem to be using more and more. I find their dropper bottles convenient in order to measure out paint for thinning.
Weathering
Not much in the way of weathering, – a dark wash, dry brushing and some little amount of metallic pigment and then dirt and dust pigments brushed on.
