Kübelwagen Type 82 build – Part 2:Painting

I actually forgot to take any pictures of it when assembled, so it is straight onto the painting.

Primer: Tamiya “Fine Surface Primer” (light grey)

Base coat: Mr.Color “Dark Yellow” (39) was sprayed as a 1:2 mixture in Mr.Color leveling thinner.

  • Tyres: Mr.Color “Tire Black” (137)
  • Seats: LifeColor “Russian Uniforms M43 Tunic” (UA449) – drybrushed with LifeColor “Dust Type 2” (UA706)
  • Canvas top: LifeColor “Russian Uniforms M35 Tunic” (UA447) – drybrushed with LifeColor “Dust Type 2” (UA706).
  • Canvas top straps: Vallejo Model Color “Khaki” (70988)
  • Rear light: LifeColor “Matt Red” (LC06)
  • Engine: Vallejo Model Color “Black” (70950), LifeColor “Matt Natural Metal” (LC24)
  • Suspension: Vallejo Model Color “Black” (70950)
  • Spade: Vallejo Panzer Aces “Old Wood” (310),  Vallejo Model Color “Black Grey” (70862)
  • Dashboard: Vallejo Model Color “Black” (70950), LifeColor “Matt White” (LC01)
  • Steering wheel, gear stick, brake: Vallejo Model Color “Black” (70950)
  • Wooden floor boards: Vallejo Model Color “German Camouflage Medium Brown” (70826)

A 1:2 mixture of Mr.Color “Clear Gloss” (46) and Mr.Color Leveling Thinner was sprayed over the entire model. The decals were applied and then a further layer of clear gloss applied.
