- Friulmodel tracks (ATL-38) were linked with Albion Alloys’ 0.5 mm brass rod – 76 links per side. I find T-34 tracks a bit tricky to install because the tracks are of two types, which means an even number is required to complete a side. Somehow, I always seem to require one less track link than this for a perfect length, which is not possible. Consequently, it then needs some careful draping of the track across the wheels. Perhaps it is a combination of Dragon kit and Fruilmodel track. I have never tried any other brand of kit and tracks – perhaps I should next time.
- Treated with UMP “Ultimate Burnishing Liquid”.
- A dilute mixture of Winsor & Newton “Raw Umber” oil paint in enamel thinners was used to collect in the recesses of the tracks.
- A mixture of medium color pigments were dropped onto the tracks and fixed with a 1:1 mixture of AMMO “Pigment Fixer” (A.MIG-3000) and enamel thinners, added by brush.
- The parts of the external side of the tracks in contact with the ground and the guide horns were brushed with AK Interactive “Dark Steel” (AK086) pigment.
