AMMO pigments “Europe Earth” (A.MIG-3004), “Airfield Dust” (A.MIG-3011) and “Light Dust” (A.MIG-3002) were added dry by brush separately and somewhat randomly to large parts of the running gear, tracks, wheels and hull. A 1:1 mixture of pigment fixer and enamel thinner was added by brush to those parts to seal the pigments in place. In some parts, such as the lower front and back hull, where dirt and mud could be expected to be sprayed, I repeated this process. The aim here was to end up with dried mud of some colour variation.
Those parts of the track in contact with the wheels were treated with a 2B pencil. The outer side of the wheels and tracks were treated with AK Interactive “Dark Steel” (AK086) pigment.
