The vehicle
The last of the BT (“Bystrokhodny tank“) series of fast cavalry tanks produced in the USSR in the 1930s [1] [2] [3]. Yes, it is easy now to recognize their faults – flat sides, small tracks, shot traps at the front and a puny gun (45 mm). However, it is notable for being the ancestor of the T-34 (it used the same type of suspension), so earns its place in history that way I guess.
