KV-1 (Model 1939) build – Part 11:Weathering (oil and fuel stains)

  • AK Interactive “Engine oil” (AK084), diluted in white spirits (1:1 ratio), was added to some of the wheels, running gear, turret ring and engine hatch area. Later, the same mixture was flicked from the end of a brush onto the engine area.
  • AK Interactive “Fuel Stains” (AK025), diluted in white spirits (1:1 ratio), was flicked onto the top of the fenders and the engine deck to simulate general liquid staining.
