I replaced the multi-part plastic barrel with RB Model’s 152 mm ML-20S metal barrel (#35B63) and utilised the optional hull DShK 12.7 mm machine gun. The damaged cast texture was repaired with Mr.Surfacer 1000. Often you will see pictures of this vehicle (or the wider JS family of tanks) with damaged or missing fenders. I will attempt such a thing – as many previous modellers have to great effect – but not on this one (I have the Tamiya JS-2 lined up for it).
