Primer: Tamiya “Fine Surface Primer” (light grey) spray can
Basecoat: A mixture of 90% Tamiya XF-23 “Light Blue” and 10% Tamiya X-22 Clear in Tamiya lacquer thinner (2:1 paint mixture to thinner). Wanting to avoid another green or desert yellow-coloured vehicle I opted for this. I would say that any colour would go for this one – I happen to like the Light Blue when I have used it previously.
Tracks: A mixture of 90% Tamiya acrylics (XF-84 “Dark Iron”) and 10% Tamiya X-22 Clear in Tamiya lacquer thinner (2:1 paint mixture to thinner).

The paint was protected with layers of Quick Shine Floor Finish and decals applied – just what I liked on the supplied sheet, plus a couple from the spares box. Citadel Purity Seal satin varnish was then sprayed on. I notice a bit of decal “silvering” on the model, which will have to be reduced or hidden in the weathering stages!
