Pickup “Technical” with ZPU-2 build – Part 8:Painting (ZPU-2)

Primer: Tamiya “Fine Surface Primer” (light grey) spray can

Base coat: A mixture of 90% Tamiya acrylics (XF-13 “J.A Green”, XF-4 “Yellow Green”, XF-57 “Buff” and XF-2 “Flat White” in a 8:2:2:1 ratio) and 10% Tamiya X-22 Clear in Tamiya X-20A thinner (2:1 paint mixture to thinner).

Details: gun (Vallejo Model Color “Black” 70950), various handles (Vallejo Model Color “Black” 70950), gun handles (Vallejo Model Color “Leather Brown” 70871) [1] .

The paint was protected with a layer of Humbrol Clear gloss varnish and then Citadel Purity Seal satin varnish.
