Primer: Tamiya “Fine Surface Primer” (light grey) spray can

Base coat (chassis): A mixture of 90% Tamiya acrylics (XF-1 “Flat Black”) and 10% Tamiya X 22 Clear in Tamiya X-20A thinner (2:1 paint mixture to thinner).

Base coat (cab exterior and back of pickup): A mixture of 90% Tamiya acrylics (XF-2 “Flat White”) and 10% Tamiya X 22 Clear in Tamiya X-20A thinner (2:1 paint mixture to thinner).

Base coat (cab interior): A mixture of 90% Tamiya acrylics (XF-18 “Medium Blue” and XF-2 “Flat White” in a 2:1 ratio) and 10% Tamiya X 22 Clear in Tamiya X-20A thinner (2:1 paint mixture to thinner).

Base coat (inner wheels): A mixture of 90% Tamiya acrylics (XF-12 “J.N. Grey”) and 10% Tamiya X 22 Clear in Tamiya X-20A thinner (2:1 paint mixture to thinner).

Base coat (tyres and miscellaneous parts): A mixture of 90% Tamiya acrylics (XF-1 “Flat Black”) and 10% Tamiya X 22 Clear in Tamiya X-20A thinner (2:1 paint mixture to thinner).

Base coat (seats and inside of doors): A mixture of 90% Tamiya acrylics (XF-19 “Sky Grey”) and 10% Tamiya X 22 Clear in Tamiya X-20A thinner (2:1 paint mixture to thinner).

Details (chassis): Games Workshop “Boltgun Metal”

Details (cab exterior): external fittings (Vallejo Model Color “Black” 70950), mirrors (Games Workshop “Mithril Silver”), lights (Games Workshop “Mithril Silver”, Vallejo Model Color “Light Orange” 70911, Vallejo Model Color “Red” 70947). Clear parts for lights are another learning curve for me and I’m not near the top yet. I think, for them to look better close to, I should investigate greater use of so-called clear or crystal paints.

Details (back of pickup): mud flaps (Vallejo Model Color “Black” 70950), lights (Games Workshop “Mithril Silver”, Vallejo Model Color “Light Orange” 70911, Vallejo Model Color “Red” 70947)

Details (cab interior): floor mats (Vallejo Panzer Aces “Dark Rubber” 306), gear stick\hand brake\pedals\steering wheel\dashboard items (Vallejo Model Color “Black” 70950)

Details (inside of doors): miscellaneous fittings (Vallejo Model Color “Black” 70950)

The paint was protected with a layer of Humbrol Clear gloss varnish and then Citadel Purity Seal satin varnish.
