Base coat: A mixture of 90% Tamiya acrylic (XF-13 “J.A. Green”) and 10% Tamiya X-22 Clear in Tamiya X-20A thinner (2/3 paint mixture to 1/3 thinner). For the second coat (sprayed on the turret, gun, upper body and wheels only) a mixture of 90% Tamiya acrylics (XF-13 “J.A Green”, XF-4 “Yellow Green”, XF-57 “Buff” and XF-2 “Flat White” in a 8:2:2:1 ratio) and 10% Tamiya X-22 Clear in Tamiya X-20A thinner (2/3 paint mixture to 1/3 thinner). I was on the look out for good looking Russian colours and liked the look of this one, although I haven’t copied it exactly. As others have said, Russian tank colours would surely have varied somewhat.
