M3 Stuart “Honey” build – Part 9:Tracks

 

  • Fruilmodel tracks assembled with 0.5mm diameter brass rod and treated as described previously.
  • Washed with a solution of Winsor and Newton “Raw Umber” oil paint in white spirit.
  • AK Interactive “North Africa Dust” pigment was applied with a brush and then swept away until the bulk of the pigment was located in the recessed parts of the tracks. Tamiya X20-A thinner was applied as a fixer.
  • AK Interactive “Dark Steel” pigment was applied to the parts of the track in contact with the running gear.
