- Application of the “Soot” Tamiya weathering powder to the end of the barrel.
- AK Interactive “Dark Steel” pigment (AK086) was lightly brushed on the machine gun barrels and various metal tool parts.
- The wooden parts of the tools were applied with Winsor and Newton “Burnt Umber” oil paint. A short while later it was substantially removed by a wiping a piece of sponge across it.
