- Very few paint chips – more scratches – in certain places were simulated using AMMO “Light Metal” paint (A.MIG-0602), applied with a sponge.
- The entire model was washed with a dilute mixture of Winsor & Newton “Raw Umber” and “Lamp Black” oil paints in enamel thinners – the excess being cleaned up with a dry brush.
- Winsor & Newton “Burnt Umber” oil paint was drybrushed on the tool handles, to give an impression of grain.
- To simulate dirt many parts of the model were selectively treated with a wash of Abteilung 502 “Light Mud” (Abt125) or “Dust” (Abt003) in enamel thinners, with the excess being removed using a dry brush.
- The entire model was sprayed with a 1:2 mixture of Mr.Color “Flat Clear” (182) and Mr.Color Leveling Thinner.
- At his point the cab windows were fitted, fixed in place using AMMO Mig “Ultra Glue” (A.MIG-2031).
- AMMO Mig pigments “Europe Earth” (A.MIG-3004) and “Airfield Dust” (A.MIG-3011) was fixed in place by applying a 1:1 mixture of AK Interactive “Pigment Fixer” (AK048) and enamel thinners by brush.
- Abteilung 502 “Industrial Earth” (Abt090) oil, diluted with enamel thinners, was added by brush to various parts, to simulate darker patches.
