Dune Harkonnen Frigate

Another Dune model, but the fact is that I always liked the designs in the film, whatever its shortcomings are. This one – from this seller – is 3D printed in large parts to be assembled. It makes for an imposing model and I was happy with it. After that, it’s a case of painting with various grey shades and then weathering with oil paints, to represent the stains shown on the filming model. By the way, the scale of that is immense – that is what you call a model!

I used a circular mdf disc as a base, painted with various lines to represent the landing area.
