T-34/76 (model 1940) build – Part 5:Weathering (wash)

  • The entire vehicle was washed with a dilute mixture of Winsor & Newton “Raw Umber” and “Lamp Black” oil paints (ratio about 5:1) in enamel thinner – the excess being cleaned up with a dry brush or cotton bud.
  • AMMO Oilbrusher “Olive Green” (A.MIG-3505) was used on various high points of the vehicle.
  • Winsor & Newton “Burnt Umber” was painted on the spade handle, then wiped in one direction using a cotton bud to simulate wood grain.
  • Abteilung 502 “Light Rust Brown” (ABT060) was dry brushed on the exhausts.
