Matilda Mk III/IV build – Part 1:Introduction

The vehicle

“With its heavy armour, the Matilda was an excellent infantry support tank but with somewhat limited speed and armament. It was the only British tank to serve from the start of the war to its end, although it is particularly associated with the North Africa Campaign” [1]

The kit

Tamiya 1/35 kit [5]. I did the earlier British version of this kit years ago and remember it to be a very easy build. So, when it was released in a Soviet version recently, I was interested in reacquainting myself with it.
