Primer: Tamiya “Fine Surface Primer” (light grey) spray can
Base coat: A mixture of 90% Tamiya acrylics (Tamiya XF-61 “Dark Green”, Tamiya XF-62 “Olive Drab” and Tamiya XF-4 “Yellow Green” in a 3:4:4 ratio) and 10% Tamiya X-22 Clear in Tamiya lacquer thinner (2:1 paint mixture to thinner) was sprayed on.
Details:
- Identification stripes: Tamiya XF-2 “Flat White”, Tamiya XF-7 “Flat Red” and Tamiya “Medium Blue” XF-18. Before any were applied, AK Interactive “Worn Effects” (AK088) in two layers was brushed onto the area. Once dry, the above paints were applied successively (with appropriate masking) and each strip was subjected to a certain amount of chipping with a stiff brush and water, so that the underlying green colour could be apparent in places.
- Machine guns: AMMO “Matt Black” (A.MIG-046)
- Track: Tamiya XF-84 “Dark Iron”
The paint was protected with a layer of Quick Shine, the decals applied and glossed over. Finally, Citadel Purity Seal satin varnish was sprayed on.
