This was an initial use of oil paints. Firstly, some of the more recessed areas, such as the engine deck, were treated with Mig Productions 502 Abteilung “Faded Navy Blue” ABT030, blending in with white spirit. This was an attempt to create a more shadowed area. In contrast, on higher points, such as the engine access hatch, Mig Productions 502 Abteilung “Olive Green” ABT050 was applied. Hopefully this gives a subtle fading or lightening to the appearance of the paint in these areas.
