M3 Stuart “Honey” build – Part 8:Weathering (oil and fuel stains)

  • I always like getting to the stage of oil and fuel effects (assuming I apply them). The way that I work it signifies that the model is very nearly complete. Also, there is something satisfying in their use – less troublesome than chipping or washing. Anyway …
  • Application of AK Interactive “Engine Oil” (AK084) in small stains\runs to the turret area and some of the wheels. This was first added as a 50% solution in white spirit and then, in smaller amounts,  undiluted.
  • Application of AK Interactive “Fuel Stains” (AKo25) to parts of the engine area.
