M3 Stuart “Honey” build – Part 2:Assembly

 

The kit is fairly neat. Some of  detail is a bit crude though. For example, the rear stowage holders really need the brackets to hold them – otherwise they will appear to be “floating”. So, the build is suspended until the Eduard photo etched set arrives.

Hmm. Well, I used parts of the set. Unfortunately, in my zeal I decided to fill in the hollow rear storage box. That would have been OK I guess if I had had the patience to do it in stages. But, no, ignoring the instructions on the tube I filled it in one go. Next day, the stuff had not set and instead corroded the plastic sides to the point of destruction. Lesson learned!
