Primer: Tamiya “Fine Surface Primer” (light grey) spray can

Base coat: A mixture of 90% Tamiya acrylics (XF-52 “Flat Earth” and XF-55 “Deck Tan” in a 1:1 ratio) and 10% Tamiya X-22 Clear in Tamiya X-20A thinner (2:1 paint mixture to thinner).

Tracks: A mixture of 90% Tamiya acrylics (XF-84 “Dark Iron”) and 10% Tamiya X-22 Clear in Tamiya X-20A thinner (2:1 paint mixture to thinner).

Details (machine guns): Vallejo Model Color “Black” 70950.

The paint was protected with a layer of Humbrol Clear gloss varnish (prior to applying decals) and then Citadel Purity Seal satin varnish.

Most of the built examples (plus the cover art) of this model kit depict the more colourful camouflage of a Mk IV captured by the Germans. However, I just couldn’t bring myself to do it! There are more than enough real German subjects out there, so I would let these stay as British machines.
